The 16-year-old Shaw has previously featured for the United States youth national team in the 2026 Concacaf U20 champion, reaching the final after a perfect group stage. He helped the USYNT to victories against Haiti, El Salvador, and Cuba without conceding a goal. Shaw also scored in the 5-0 victory over Cuba.
ESPN Soccer has confirmed that both Colombia and the United States are looking for Shaw to join their teams for the upcoming U-20 World Cup in 2027. Shaw has received call-ups from the Colombia U20 in the past, but Inter Miami has declined these requests due to the player's involvement in Major League Soccer regular season action.
