Fortuna Sittard has re-signed Daley Sinkgraven (31) on a contract until the end of the season, according to Voetbal International. Sinkgraven, a former player for SC Heerenveen, Ajax and Bayer Leverkusen, has been training with the club since his contract expired.
The 31-year-old left-back suffered a serious knee injury in his second game for Fortuna Sittard, which forced him to undergo a lengthy rehabilitation period. Despite this setback, Sinkgraven has now signed a new deal with the club.
Sinkgraven will be eligible to play immediately, and will wear the number 24 shirt for Fortuna Sittard. The club resumes Eredivisie action on Saturday with a home match against FC Twente.
