The titleholders sealed the deal before halftime, with a free kick being poorly cleared by Ajax and Xanne Kip scoring the third goal.
Ajax coach Anouk Bruil made some changes at halftime, bringing on Daliyah De Klonia and later Bo van Egmond and Danielle Noordermeer. However, PSV remained the more threatening side, with Rijsbergen scoring the fourth goal and then being forced off the pitch with an injury. Ajax were unable to create any meaningful chances in the second half, with PSV securing a comfortable victory.
The defeat leaves Ajax three points behind leaders FC Twente, who have a game in hand. PSV, meanwhile, has reduced the gap to Ajax to just two points and remains in third place.
